MEN'S OF BELIEF

ABOUT MEN'S OF BELIEF

We have a great desire to see men identified themselves with the purpose for which they were created, and then develop that purpose through discipleship, as well as mentorship, to follow Jesus and become fishers of men. It is very important for men to understand that Jesus Christ is our example of being prophet priest and king, we as men need to know and understand our responsibility to God as well as our family.

Man as Prophet: He has the responsibility to speak on behalf of God to his family. Guiding them as the Lord direct and leads him, as he seeks Him daily through prayer and reading of the Word and in meditation being still to hear God's voice and as he hears from God he shares with his family.

Man as Priest: He has the responsibility to lead his family to God. As he models for his family the life of Christ. Through his love and humility, obedience to God, integrity of heart, actions and self-sacrifice. His family then because of his love for God, can trust him as the priest of the home and follow Jesus as well.

Man as Provider: He has the responsibility of providing for his family's needs according to the Word of God financially, emotionally, physically, but more importantly he is to provide for their spiritual needs.

Man as Protector: He has the responsibility to be a watchman for his family. By being vigilant through prayer and intercession with wisdom and discernment from God, he will then be able to protect them not only physically but most importantly in the spiritual. As a shepherd protects his flock so shall a man protect his family.

"And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,"

1 Peter 3:21
